I have a triple monitor setup at home and at my office and swear by it. Until recently, however, it just wasn't practical to travel with a similar configuration. I travel extensively and work remotely and there are instances where I'll be in one place for a couple of months. Usually, I'll just buy some desktop monitors once I arrive and find a school or non-profit to donate them to when I leave.I've been following the portable monitor for laptops niche for several years. I was an 'early adopter' of the first models and I like to keep testing out new ones as they come on the market. They've definitely come a long way. The first ones I tried had a number of common issues: poor fit with the primary (laptop) screen, poor video quality, not bright enough, low resolution, time consuming configuration, so on and so forth. Another problem--one that they haven't *quite* figured out yet--is portability, especially the weight. Some of the earliest products weighed as much as bowling balls. They've definitely improved in size, weight, portability but for me at least there's still a 'cost/benefit' analysis on whether they're worth taking with me or not.As for this particular product, they're really starting to figure it out. Visual quality is first rate--in fact, among the best I've seen for a product of this type. There are built in speakers but I usually have other audio devices I use instead. Some people might like this, however. I like the fact that it can work with a number of different sized laptops. I've tried it with 13, 15 and 17 inch laptops and it worked just fine. I really appreciate the inclusion of a stand and bag. You can buy accessories like this easy enough, but I always give props to manufacturers that give me one less thing to do.The most interesting thing about this device is the ability to rotate the screens. This allows you to configure it into a variety of angles. At times, I've used a layout with one horizontal orientated monitor and one vertical. The fact that I can do several different arrangements with ease is a pretty compelling feature. One of the better--and more versatile--laptop triple monitors I've tried. Highly recommended!
