I brought this for me to work from home while I recovery for surgery. I cannot sit on a regular office chair. It very light weight thought it will be more heavier. Very simple instructions and but still have issue with the setup. Its not stable enough. If you have a larger laptop such as 17" laptop i will not recommended this tray. It will work but i felt it will tip over at any slight movement. My personal laptop is 17" so i can honest say this and test it to see how sturdy tray is. For my work laptop 13" or 14" laptop is works perfectly and keep laptop secure in place. Not sliding around. Wish tray table was made with more heavier materials. Still feel it can easily tip over if you are not careful. I will still recommended this product if you have small device such as Chromebook or ipad or small laptop... No special area to hold pens or few supplies to work. Keep that in mind if you need that feature.I bought this item for bed use, and I’m truly happy with it. I was using my laptop propped up on a pillow, and it was causing me neck and shoulder pain, as well as the obvious ergonomic issues. I spend a lot of time writing in bed, playing guitar, as well as typing on my laptop, drawing, sketching, and yes, eating. The locking tilt feature allows the tabletop to go from flat, to 45°, and two stops in-between. The 45° stop is great for reading, or for me, using music software on my laptop while practicing guitar. I love this tray for many reasons: The height and tilt adjustments are very easy to configure, and rock-steady, the top is really durable (Formica?), the banded edge is smooth, the tray top ‘stop’ (to keep things from sliding) is sturdy, and easily removable for cleaning, the 7” wrist rest provides extra comfort (also removable), the legs fold up easily, the footprint is wide and stable, and provides plenty of leg-room, and the height adjustments for the legs are independent of each other, so it levels out with the push of a button. The designers of this did a great job, and obviously did a lot of testing before releasing it onto the market. I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s also a great value, in my opinion, for the quality, the ease of use, and the multi-functional design. So handy I bought two! I’ve used it as a standing desk (on top of my regular desk at work) and the height adjusts quickly. I’ve also used it in bed or on a chaise as a lap tray to work, and it folds up easily to tuck to the side. You can sit in the floor and use it there, too, sitting in whatever position you’d like. Wide enough to hold a laptop with a little room on the side, but likely not enough room to fit a mouse pad (I ended up putting my mouse and digital pen on my desk below the tray, which worked fine for me.) I haven’t used the tilt feature, but it’s also easy to adjust.. Really nice. Bought it for my girlfriend for Xmas, she's a dinosaur still has a laptop and I got her some cup holder in this jungle to she uses it for her bad and laptop coffee lip too roach clips stuff like that good gear you won't be disappointed also serves as a Trey 2 to 00 eat , off. And it's got nice silicone material that you can change the stop at the bottom if you're right or left handed you can move that and then the other little catch on the bottom of it is also silicone and that would hold a little pad or pen pretty nice my girlfriend still actually makes grocery list so it comes in handy in bed for her services like a little mini desk try it out you won't be disappointed she loves it dog loves it I love that the dog loves it and she's happy space. Buy the thing! Shut her up! Don't forget to get the back pillow thingy to from the 70s I got one of those too of course I was out till 5 a.m. Christmas Eve saved my arse thanks Bezos!I like to use my laptop in bed and this table dramatically improved my comfort. Bad posture in bed was causing me neck and back strain and I decided to get this table to help with that. Now I can barely tolerate using the laptop any other way.I like the adjustable leg length that allows me to put this thing on a desk or countertop and use it for a standing desk. I like that it folds flat and I've even taken it on the back of my motorcycle when I needed it elsewhere. As long as you are gentle with the tabs that allow you to change the lean angle of the table, it should last you at least a few years.I wouldn't say the built in mousepad area is very useful for most people, but that's okay, and I wish it was about 4-5 inches wider so that I could sit cross-legged underneath it, but those are just nitpicks.Everything else about this little desk exceeded my expectations.I bought these to use as temporary desks for my grandchildren who homeschool, but sometimes school at my house. These are super adjustable, easy for 4-8 year Olds to use and for 3 months have survived all manners of abuse. They also make great tables for dinner and a movie.Filled a need.I'm happy that I am able to adjust the height and the color is just what I needed. The small plastic bar helps with holding my laptop and the rubber on the right hand side is comfortable for me when I use my mouse. I don't think it would be as convenient for a leftie.I do wish it was a bit wider so I can cross my legs (pretzel style) while using it on my bed but it's definitely wide enough for anyone to use with their legs extended.
